Cross-Dimensional Trade System

The Cross-Dimensional Trade System is a network of trade routes and agreements between dimensions, facilitating the exchange of goods, services, and knowledge across the multiverse. Central trading hubs, such as the Infinite Emporium, act as points of connection and commerce, where traders and merchants from different dimensions can meet, negotiate, and conduct business.

The IC regulates and oversees the Cross-Dimensional Trade System to ensure fair and equitable practices, prevent illegal activities, and maintain the balance of resources and influence among dimensions. Additionally, the IC coordinates with the Consortium to provide secure and reliable interdimensional transportation services for traders, merchants, and goods.

Laws

  1. The Law of Non-Interference: Inhabitants of one dimension should not interfere with the natural development or progression of another dimension, especially in terms of technology, culture, or politics.
  2. The Law of Conservation of Balance: Actions taken within a dimension that could disrupt the balance of power, resources, or ecosystems must be counterbalanced by restorative measures to maintain overall stability.
  3. The Law of Free Will: All sentient beings have the right to exercise their free will, and no individual or entity should infringe upon this fundamental right.
  4. The Law of Sanctuary: Designated safe zones or sanctuaries, such as the Eternal Inn, must be respected by all, and no violence or harmful actions are permitted within these spaces.
  5. The Law of Knowledge: Knowledge acquired from one dimension must not be exploited or used for malicious purposes in another dimension.
  6. The Law of Temporal Stability: Time manipulation or alteration within a dimension is strictly prohibited to maintain the integrity of the multiverse's timeline.
  7. The Law of Dimensional Boundaries: Unauthorized manipulation or creation of dimensional portals is forbidden to prevent destabilization of the multiverse.
  8. The Law of Mutual Respect: All dimensions and their inhabitants must be treated with respect and understanding, regardless of differences in culture, appearance, or beliefs.
  9. The Law of Accountability: Individuals or entities that break any of the Universal Laws will be held accountable and subject to appropriate consequences.
  10. The Law of Preservation: The protection and preservation of rare or endangered species, ecosystems, and cultural heritages across dimensions is of paramount importance.

The Universal Codex

Preamble:

In the interests of harmony across the multiverse, these basic principles are established. Every reality, regardless of its nature or constituents, shall uphold these tenets for the greater good of all.

1. All beings have the inherent right to life. Deliberate harm or murder is forbidden.

2. Theft, being the act of taking another's property without consent, is prohibited.

3. Truth is sacred. Falsehoods or bearing false witness with intent to deceive or harm is disallowed.

4. Every being has the right to autonomy and freedom, and involuntary servitude or confinement is denied.

5. Respect for property is paramount. Destruction or harm to another's property, be it out of malice or neglect, is not permitted.

6. Discrimination, prejudice, or harm based on origin, species, or any distinguishing characteristic is strictly forbidden.

7. Conflicts and disputes must be resolved through dialogue, mediation, or a designated impartial authority.

8. All beings have the right to seek justice when wronged, but vengeance or retribution beyond fair compensation is discouraged.

9. Interference in the internal affairs or natural progression of another reality without mutual consent is prohibited.

10. Exploration, communication, and collaboration between realities are encouraged, but exploitation or domination is banned.

Closing:

All realities are encouraged to adopt and integrate these principles, ensuring a harmonious coexistence within the vast expanse of the multiverse.

Currencies

Ephemeral Currency:  A form of energy-based currency that dissipates over time. This encourages quick transactions, a thriving barter system, and prevents hoarding, adding a sense of urgency and dynamism.

Experiential Currency: Points or tokens earned not through wealth, but through experiences.

Narrative Currency:  Stories, rumors, secrets, and unique perspectives become valuable commodities.

Symbiotic Currency:  A form of currency based on cooperation and exchange across dimensions. Perhaps visitors earn tokens by resolving interdimensional disputes, facilitating trades between unlikely parties, or even teaching their own world's skills to others. This emphasizes a positive influence throughout the multiverse.

Paradox Currency:  A gamble-based system where currency derives its worth from paradoxes and improbabilities. Coins that flip heads every time until they absolutely shouldn't,  luck-based tokens that have diminishing returns, or coupons with unexpected (and potentially inconvenient) side effects. For adventurous shoppers only!
